Your medical kit is only useful if you can get it when you need it.

That requirement for rapid, logical access has helped shape MYSTERY RANCH medical packs for years. From individual first aid to more complex medical loadouts for frontline medics, these bags are built around access, organization, mobility, and the realities of providing care in the field.

The core offering is the Rapid Access Trauma System, or RATS pack. Built as a frontline medic bag, the RATS prioritizes quick, one-handed access to organized medical supplies. Removable internal pockets withclear windows, dedicated IV storage, and external access to items like tourniquets and trauma shears help keep critical equipment identifiable and within reach. The RATS pack is available in three configurations: RATS, Jump RATS and NICE RATS. The Jump RATS has the same key feature of the standard RATS with the addition of reinforced tie-in points for connecting to a parachute harness. Jump RATS also has redundant closures on the external zippers and pockets to prevent unintended opening while in flight. NICE RATS comes mounted on our NICE Frame for handling heavier loads and creating additional space below the primary pack for strapping on litters, extraction tools or other overloads.

The same thinking scales across the system. The compact RFAK allows its internal medical bundle to be removed while the outer carrier remainsattached to belts, vests or carriers via MOLLE. The larger VLAK was developed for vehicle-based medical resupply and can be staged in a vehicle: attached via MOLLE or slung over a vehicle headrest. Both were developed in response to a SOCOM Tactical Combat Casualty Care requirement.

At the other end of the size spectrum is the 56-liter ROUS, MYSTERY RANCH’s largest medic pack. Six removable internal pockets, IV storage, splint sleeves, external organization, and a load-carriage system built for the heaviest loads give medics significantly more capacity without abandoning the focus on access.

The requirements of the mission may change, but the principle doesn’t: medical equipment needs to be organized, accessible, and ready to move with the person responsible for using it.

From RFAK to RATS to ROUS, MYSTERY RANCH medical packs are built around the medic and the mission.

If one of our off-the-shelf packs doesn’t quite meet your mission requirements, MYSTERY RANCH Special Projects can help develop something that does. The team works directly with end users to understand specific load carriage needs and build purpose-driven solutions for whatever your mission may be. Contact them at sales@mysteryranch.com.
